I grew up in the 80s and loved my Saturday morning cartoons.

The Thundercats ran from 1985 until 1989 and, besides the Sword of Power from He-Man, the Sword of Omens was probably the coolest weapon of all. Last year the series received a reboot with some subtle changes but the main players remained the same.

The plot of the show for those too old too have ever watched or those too young that haven't caught the reboot here are the basics:

Their young king named Lion-O, who wields the Sword of Omens, leads the Thundercats. They are battling the evil Mumm-Ra and his henchmen. Mumm-Ra wants what every bad guy wants, which is world domination.

Lion-O and the Thundercats, of course fight for the little guy and want world peace.

Before going any further, I will admit that I am a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bulls, so that may make my opinion a bit biased; however, I think the comparisons I made are fair.

If you are a fan of the Heat, I'd love to hear your reverse opinion or if you think my comparisons are off, please share your thoughts below.
