New York Yankees: Review of April 9-15 Predictions and April 16-22 Predictions
We are about to start the second full week of the season, and most predictions have been spot on, but some have been way off.
The New York Yankees bounced back from getting swept by the Tampa Bay Rays to start the season. They won five out of the six games last week and are looking more like the Yankees we expected.
The Yankees will take on the Minnesota Twins at home and then end the week in Boston against the Red Sox.
Here is a review of the predictions from April 9-15 and some predictions for the Yankees' week ahead.
Leave your comments and predictions, and we will see how they stack up to what really happens.

Yankees Take 3 out of 4 from the Twins
2 of 8Since 2005, the Yankees have the best winning percentage against the Twins than any other American League team they face. In 50 games, the Yankees won 34 of them.
The Yankees will continue their success and win three games in this series.
Freddy Garcia Has Two Quality Starts
3 of 8The Yankees' starting pitching situation is going to be the most interesting thing this season. They have Andy Pettitte and Michael Pineda trying to squeeze into a rotation that already has five starters.
At first, it appears as if Freddy Garcia would be the odd man out of the rotation when Pettitte returns. However, Phil Hughes has struggled and left the door open for Garcia to earn himself a rotation spot.
Garcia is a competitor and will take advantage of this opening. He will have two quality starts this week against the Twins and Red Sox.
Against the Twins, he will throw six shutout innings and give up seven hits. Against the Red Sox, Garcia will go seven innings, giving up three runs and eight hits.
Alex Rodriguez Will Hit 2 Home Runs Against the Twins and 1 Against Red Sox
4 of 8I predicted last week that Alex Rodriguez would hit three home runs. I am making that same prediction this week.
Rodriguez will hit two home runs against the Twins and one against the Red Sox.
CC Sabathia Finally Dominates
5 of 8CC Sabathia has gotten off to a slow start and has struggled in his first two outings. He will finally dominate a start against the Twins.
Sabathia will go eight innings, giving up one run and seven hits.
Alex Rodriguez Has First Walk-off of the Season
6 of 8One of the two Alex Rodriguez home runs that he will hit against the Twins will be a walk-off.
In 2009, the Yankees seemed to have a walk-off every other game. They will get their first walk-off this season in their series against the Twins.
Brett Gardner Will Steal 4 Bases
7 of 8Brett Gardner only has one stolen base this season. He has the potential to lead the league in stolen bases.
Gardner should start stealing more bases soon, and it will start this week. Gardner will steal four bases, giving him five total by the end of the week.
Yankees Will Go 1-2 Against the Boston Red sox
8 of 8The Yankees and Red Sox rivalry could be very exciting this season, primarily because of Bobby Valentine. It will get off to an interesting start this coming weekend. There will be some bean-balls and retaliations, but benches will not clear yet.
The Yankees will only win one out of the three games in Boston.
