Scouting Report

Strengths

Green has excellent hands in the receiving game and doesn’t drop anything. He can line up all over the formation as a wide receiver, tight end, fullback and even at H-back. He has the raw speed to beat people deep and can isolate opponents as a blocker in screen plays and is a willing blocker.

Green runs routes to get separation and does better with the ball in his hands and can find the seams in defenses. He's one of the better tight ends as uses his body well in positioning for catches and can box out defenders.

Weaknesses

While he's a willing blocker, Green isn't the most talented at blocking and needs a lot of work in technique. He also lacks in lower body strength and drive off the ball in his blocking. He needs just as much work in route running as in blocking as Green is very inconsistent and unpolished.

Overview

Green is a good tight end all around, but with some polishing, has Pro Bowl potential as a starting tight end. Green will be a starter for any team long term and should fit in well with a vertical passing attack.

How he would fit into the Falcons' plans

Green would start out as a No. 2 tight end and H-back, allowing the Falcons to train him up behind Tony Gonzalez for a year and then start him long term.

Green would also be used outside as a wide receiver to allow more versatility in the offense.
