Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hire Raheem Morris as Coach; Mark Dominik as GM
Itโs been a crazy 24 hours for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to say the least. First, the team fires head coach Jon Gruden and GM Bruce Morris, and less than one day later have named defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as their new head coach and Mark Dominik, who has been with the team since 1995, is taking over the role of general manager.
โRaheem can relate to todayโs NFL player,โ co-chairman Joel Glazer said. โThe game has changed a lot. Itโs always changing. ...If you donโt adapt to those changes, you canโt compete.โ
Morris is young at just 32 years old, and takes over a team that was on the verge of a playoff birth before losing back-to-back games to the Chargers and Raiders to end the year. They havenโt won a playing game since they won their only Super Bowl as a franchise in 2003. Now Morris is being counted on to get the team back to the promise land.

โWeโve been doing this for a long time. We just didnโt know it,โ Morris said. โWeโre going to make the decisions together. We, we, we. Thatโs how we do it.โ Meaning that he and the 37-year-old Dominik will run the show together. It should be interesting to see ow the two work together.
