WWE Smackdown was an enjoyable show last night. The Blue Brand focused on Sheamus and Daniel Bryan for a change. Chris Jericho made a nice special appearance in the main event.

Even AJ won a match!

However, most of the night was spent on the General Manager's story. Teddy Long was running the Blue Brand, while Mr. Excitement watched over him.

At Wrestle Mania, it will all come to an end. Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny will happen on April 1st, and only one side will come out as the winner.

The two sides are not complete yet, but you can clearly see what WWE is thinking.

Teddy Long has Santino Marella as the captain, along with R-Truth and Kofi Kingston. It is a nice start, but that certainly does not scream "Super team!"

On the flip side, we have David Otunga as the captain, along with Mark Henry and Christian. Yes, that is right. WWE has the Attorney at Raw (my nickname) in charge over two former World Champions.

I don't think it would shock anybody to see Alberto Del Rio on that team as well. That would mean Otunga would also be the primary focus over a former two time WWE Champion. It sure seems to me that Otunga is finally getting some shine.

He has yet another exciting match last night against Kofi Kingston. However, that has been nothing new. The man has excelled in his recent "gimmick" change, and it is now showing.

For months, he was the man to get destroyed on Raw or Smackdown. He was the "punch line" of jokes about his beautiful wife or schooling background. The man still entertained, but it wasn't 100 percent "about him."

Now, it is!

In his short WWE run thus far, he has dominated the Red Brand for months. He was the Guest Host of Monday night Raw. He was a former tag team champion with John Cena, and now?

He is putting on great matches with Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Kofi on a regular basis. Come Mania, he is going to have a huge spotlight on him once again. I have the up most confidence in him that he will take the ball given to him and run with it.

It is time for fans to take notice of David Otunga, and they will at Wrestle Mania XXVIII...
