Peyton Manning Rumors: Arizona Cardinals out of Running for Free Agent QB

Peyton Manning has already eliminated the Miami Dolphins from his “Final Four” of team choices and the Arizona Cardinals are looking like the next to get knocked off.
According to a report in The Denver Post by Mike Klis, the former Colts QB will inform the Cardinals of his decision by 2 p.m. MST—when incumbent QB Kevin Kolb’s $7 million roster bonus kicks in.
Manning is aware of the Cardinals' situation with Kolb and plans to notify them this morning about whether they are in or out. One NFL source says the Cardinals are out.
It would be the wise decision for Manning to avoid heading out to the desert to finish his career.
As Klis pointed out, their offensive line has given up 104 sacks over the past two seasons and that sort of pounding on the 35-year-old Manning and his neck, which has undergone four surgeries in the past 19 months, would not be safe.
Almost all signs now point to the future Hall of Famer deciding between the Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos to play out the rest of his days with.
Both of these teams have benefits and drawbacks, but neither of their rosters, front offices or coaching situations are as shaky as Arizona’s are.
With two teams already off the table and two more to choose between, it appears that Manning will be making his decision sooner than later.
Keep it tuned to B/R throughout the day to get the latest breaking news, updates, opinion and analysis on Peyton Manning’s free agency saga.
