Finally, for a look at the intricate year-to-year details of Finnegan's five year, $50-million contract, please go here.  Of the $50-million total price, $26.5 million is guaranteed (54 percent).

Wide Receiver?

One area that the Rams have not yet addressed in free agency is the wide receiver position. Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch analyzed the situation in this piece.  Miklasz also took a look at the Finnegan contract in the aforementioned piece.

What has happened to the Rams in their quest to add a wide receiver in the first two days of the 2012 free-agency period?

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch shares several details in that regard on such players as Pierre Garcon (who went with Washington) and Robert Meachum (who signed with San Diego), both of whom were targets of the Rams.

Other Free-Agent Options

John Clayton of ESPN reports via twitter that center Scott Wells is visiting St. Louis:

"

After visiting in Tennessee, Packers C Scott Wells has moved on to St. Louis. He's drawing strong interest.

"

Wells is one of the better centers available on the market.  At 31, he should have several solid years ahead of him.

According to the above-linked Thomas article, the Rams will entertain free-agent quarterback Shaun Hill of Detroit on Thursday, Houston right tackle Eric Winston on Friday and have entered preliminary discussions with center Todd McClure of Atlanta.

According to this article from Pro Football Talk, Kendall Langford of the Dolphins is also visiting the Rams.  He has been a good run defender in a 3-4 defense there.  He would move to defensive tackle in St. Louis.

The Rams entertained Tennessee free agent Jason Jones On Wednseday, but he is now visiting Seattle, according to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network:

"

DL Jason Jones will wrap up his visit in St. Louis today. Scheduled to head to Seattle on Thursday.

"

As of Wednesday, St. Louis had the youngest team in the NFL, according to a report from bnd.com. In the report, Fisher is quoted as saying, "If you're going to build, you want to build with youth."

Stan Kroenke and His Dodgers Bid

As for Stan Kroenke and the L.A. Dodgers bidding, Kroenke has reportedly made it to the final four, as per the Los Angeles Times.  It appears that a group led by Magic Johnson or a bid from Steve Cohen may be the favorites.

According to a separate piece from latimes.com, former St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa could potentially join the Cohen front office if Cohen ultimately lands the Dodgers.

Edward Jones Renews Naming Rights Deal with Rams

As reported by Amir Kurtovic of the St. Louis Business Journal, Edward Jones has renewed its' naming rights deal at what has been known as the Edward Jones Dome since 2002.

Edward Jones will now maintain naming rights through 2025 on the building that has been the Rams home venue since the move to St. Louis in 1995.

It could be significant because the deal was negotiated with Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff, according to the above-linked report.

Coincidentally or not, the Rams lease, if fulfilled in its' current state, runs through 2025.

As most of you know, the Rams and the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission are currently in lease negotiations that could theoretically see the Rams leave St. Louis in 2015 or maintain a year to year lease in the Gateway City, a la the San Diego Chargers.

Have a great day, STL Rams Nation.
