The agent for Christian Tello, Josep Maria Orobitg, told Tuttomercatoweb (h/t to Goal) on Thursday that his client is being approached by "several" European clubs. Tello is under contract with FC Barcelona until 2013.

Tello participated in the UEFA Champions League match between La Blaugrana and Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday. He managed to score two goals during this crucial match for FC Barcelona.

According to ESPN Soccernet, Tello has four shots and scored four goals within 11 matches in the 2011-2012 Spanish Segunda. While Orobitg may have good intentions for his client, it would be great if he were to reveal which club is interested.

The reason is that such comments by a player's agent to the press does not help the player or the club. The words by Orobitg inspired me to write a response to his declarations.

After his performance with Lionel Messi in the now-historical UEFA Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen, Tello is remaining with Barca. Tello proved himself and has a lot to offer Barca in world football.

Tello has the support of manager Pep Guardiola, the players and the supporters. Tello is destined to continue the long tradition of FC Barcelona after Messi is in the history books.

Christian Tello is the logical successor to Messi in Barca.
