The Big East tournament has consistently provided us with some of the best college basketball moments over the years.

The nation's deepest and most competitive conference puts 16 teams into play with one chance at a guaranteed NCAA tournament seed on the line.

More often than not in recent years the Big East has put a staggering number of teams into the Big Dance and sometimes a surprising run through this tournament adds one more.

Magnified by the World's Most Famous Arena, the Big East tournament is a can't-miss event each and every year.


First Round - Tuesday, March 6 (G# = Game Number)

12 p.m. ET

No. 16 DePaul vs No. 9 UConn (G1) ESPN 2
2 p.m. ET No. 13 Pittsburgh vs No. 12 St. Johns (G2) ESPN 2
7 p.m. ET No. 15 Providence vs No. 10 Seton Hall (G3) ESPNU
9 p.m. ET No. 14 Villanova vs No. 11 Rutgers (G4) ESPNU

A run from any of the above teams would be pretty amazing.


Second Round - Wednesday, March 7 (G# = Game Number)

12 p.m. ET

G1 Winner vs No. 8 West Virginia (G5) ESPN
2 p.m. ET G2 Winner vs No. 5 Georgetown (G6) ESPN
7 p.m. ET G3 Winner vs No. 7 Louisville (G7) ESPN
9 p.m. ET G4 Winner vs No. 6 USF (G8) ESPN

All of the above teams are capable of pulling off an upset-laden run to the finals. Louisville and Georgetown are the two most dangerous teams to watch here.


Quarterfinals - Thursday, March 8

12 p.m. ET

G5 Winner vs No. 1 Syracuse (G9) ESPN
2 p.m. ET G6 Winner vs No. 4 Cincinnati (G10) ESPN
7 p.m. ET G7 Winner vs No. 2 Marquette (G11) ESPN
9 p.m. ET G8 Winner vs No. 3 Notre Dame (G12) ESPN

All four top-ranked teams are capable of winning the tournament, but it would be a complete surprise if Syracuse was bounced before the finals.


Semifinals - Friday, March 9

7 p.m. ET G9 Winner vs G10 Winner ESPN
9 p.m. ET G11 Winner vs G12 Winner ESPN


Championship Game - Saturday, March 10 - 9 p.m. EST - ESPN

Winner is automatic qualifier in NCAA Tournament.
