Daytona 500 Starting Lineup: Last Minute Odds and Predictions

Richard LangfordJun 2, 2018

Greg Biffle is going to win the 2012 Daytona 500...sometime. The winner is actually easier to predict right now than the start time of the race.

The skies have opened up and let loose with a torrential showing on the day of the Great American Race.

All we know at this point is that they will get the race in at some point.

Predictions

Greg Biffle is going to take this race. His car has been running strong and fast these past two weeks. He likely would have taken the poll from Carl Edwards had they not gotten the bad end of the breeze.

Biffle and Edwards are both in Fords, and Fords have consistently been putting up the fastest times. That doesn't necessarily mean Fords will dominate in race conditions, but it does mean they'll have the horsepower when they need it.

Matt Kenseth won one of the Gatorade duels in a Ford. Biffle finished fifth in his duel, and that was with nothing to race for but experience.

Biffle is ready. He has a strong car and he will win this race.
