WWE Wrestle Mania XXVIII: Will Booker T Wrestle a Match?
It seems as if Booker T and Cody Rhodes are done feuding.
They could always pick things up again, but they have been away from each other for the past month. Big Show has stepped in as the latest legend to feud with the Intercontinental Champion.
That is fine. Cody needs to be heavily involved come Wrestle Mania. Whether it is Show, Goldust, Shaq or anybody else, Mr. Rhodes needs to have another great match.
Just as he did against Rey Mysterio last year in Atlanta.
However, where does this leave Booker T?
He took over for Matt Striker last year at the commentary table. That was an excellent move, as my feelings towards Striker are very well known.
Since then, Booker has been in a few matches. One was against Jack Swagger on Raw in June. Another match was versus Cody Rhodes, and their feud was a great close to 2011.
Going into Miami this April, I am struggling to see the former five time WCW champion in a match. Only two stories make any sense.
If not, it looks like he will be staying in the booth for the major show.
The first story is the battle over who is running WWE. If Teddy Long needs any supporters to become the permanent General Manager, I am sure Booker is more than willing to step up and compete.
The "heel side" of that feud seems to be in check. Mark Henry, Christian, Alberto Del Rio, and others are involved. However, only Ezekiel Jackson seems to be with Mr. Long right now.
Booker would be the perfect selection.
Other than that, there is always the thought of Money in the Bank returning. I see no reason for the match to take place at Mania, but Booker did take place in a Money in the Bank match in 2007.
It would make sense for him to try and make "one more run" as a WWE/World Champion like Ric Flair did in 2006. That would be acceptable in my book...
