WWE Raw Rating Is In: Shocking Number After Elimination Chamber

Justin WatryJun 7, 2018

The rating was delayed due to holiday, but it has finally arrived! For those wondering, last week's Raw drew a very disappointing 3.0 rating.

This Monday night, WWE saw a shockingly small increase! Most expected the number to improve, but this surprised me a little bit.

The first hour drew 4,662,000 million viewers.

The second hour drew 4,596,000 million viewers.

The official number was a 3.2 rating.

My thoughts on this news

Well, I enjoyed Raw this week. The Undertaker and Triple H segment was excellent, and a few matches also grabbed my attention. Chris Jericho and CM Punk also should be great leading up to Wrestle Mania.

As for the number, this is a nice increase but still low for this time of the year! WWE has returned to its trend of losing viewers as the show goes on. Bad news!

It is Wrestle Mania season, and viewership absolutely has to be at its peak. If not, there are (even more) major issues. As we get closer to April 1st, it will be fun to see how high the ratings can go!

As a reference point, last year's infamous "2-21-11" Raw drew a 3.83 rating with 5.86 million viewers. Of course, that had huge buzz from The Rock returning the week before, as well as the mystery vignettes being revealed.

This year, it is a little backwards. Undertaker was on Raw this week, while Rocky returns live next week! That should be an interesting number to watch out for...

As for Smackdown, last Friday night's show drew a rounded up 2.0 rating with just under three million viewers. It is the lowest rating in a few weeks for the Blue Brand but definitely still good for a taped show airing on a weaker network.

Last night's live Super Smackdown rating is not available at this time. However, I predict similar numbers to last Friday's taped edition.
