The papers say Arsenal will spend big money this summer.

Precedent says Arsene Wenger will target young players.

With that in mind, we've compiled a list of five players, all age 21 or younger, who have been linked with Arsenal recently.

Any of these five would be classic Wenger signings: They're young, they have upside and their transfer fees would be relatively inexpensive.

The Sun recently linked 21-year-old Ghanaian fullback Daniel Opare with Arsenal. The Mail Online also picked up the story later.

Opare, who currently plays for Standard Liege in Belgium, was part of Ghana's squad at the African Cup of Nations.

He did not make an appearance though.

Opare played for Real Madrid's reserves from 2008-10 before moving to Standard Liege. He has been capped seven times by Ghana.

Casemiro

Arsenal was linked with 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder Casemiro in December. AC Milan and Juventus were also reportedly interested in the £10 million-rated Sao Paulo man.

TalkSport dug up the rumor earlier this month, reporting that Galatasaray and Fiorentina were also interested.

Casemiro turns 20 on Thursday.

Moreno, who has been capped five times by Spain at the U-21 level, spent the 2010-11 season on loan with Bolton from Benfica.

TalkSport reported last week that Zambian forward Emmanuel Mayuka wants a transfer to England. Mayuka currently plays for Young Boys in Switzerland.

According to TalkSport, the player's agent said:

"There has been interest shown from Arsenal, Newcastle and Fulham. Emmanuel wants to play in the Premier League, which he feels is the best in the world, but there is more concrete interest from other European clubs."
