Although it doesn’t seem like it, the 2012 NBA All-Star Game is only three weeks away.

So while the season is just past the quarter mark, the rosters have been announced and the jerseys have been released.

So how does it stack up?

Jersey Grade: C-

The uniform was designed by adidas and inspired by the 20th anniversary of the ’92 All-Star Game, which was also held in Orlando.

Quite honestly, I don’t see much of a difference between this year’s uniforms and the ones they wore at the Staples Center last year. The big difference is the three stripes on the side and the stars next to the number and up by the chest.

Big deal.

Are those mesh shorts or cutoff sweatpants? The material looks incredibly cheap and there isn’t any sort of design to make them stand out. Then there’s the whole problem of not even matching the jersey.

Design Grade: B

I’ll give the design points for capturing the vintage look they were looking to nail, but I think the block lettering is boring and not as flashy as an All-Star Game uniform should be.

Clearly, not even young superstars like Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard can save these monstrosities from themselves.

I think adidas is going to struggle selling these bland puppies.
