It would seem like we have come to the end of the Peyton Manning era in Indianapolis as Manning will have to look for a new team to play for.

The future Hall-of-Famer will most likely get plenty of phone calls, as teams look to get one last Super Bowl run out of him. Let's look into why the best move for Manning, other than retirement, is to go to Arizona.

1. Larry Fitzgerald

Without a doubt, Fitzgerald is a top five receiver in the NFL. Every quarterback would love to throw to him on a regular basis.

Manning, as well as Fitzgerald, is very passionate in what he does. The commitment both players show to their craft is the best at their respective positions. The work ethic alone will be enough to get these two on the same page quickly and develop good chemistry.

In Indianapolis, Manning turned no name players into stars. Here he will have a star waiting for him. The Cardinals were in the Super bowl as recently as three years ago and are not a bad team now. They are an average team without the Manning to Fitzgerald combination.

Just remember what happened when Kurt Warner came to Arizona. If Manning becomes a Cardinal, you can expect something along those same lines.

2. University of Phoenix Stadium

The Cardinals play in a dome, which is something any quarterback would like.

As for Manning, he has been playing in a dome for his entire NFL career. Manning is still a great quarterback outside of a dome, but in a dome he's almost unstoppable.

A top quarterback like Manning puts extra fear into the opposing defense. They feel as though they have lost the game already. Manning will thrive in these conditions and should be able to push this offense into the top unit in the league.

3. NFC West

The Cardinals play in one of the worst divisions in the NFL. Just two years ago the Seattle Seahawks made it into the playoffs with a losing record of 7-9.

This year the San Fransisco 49ers pulled away from the West by finishing their season 13-3. However, no other team in the division had a winning record.

This division can swing drastically with one big move. The Cardinals would be that team if they get Manning. This year we saw how much different the Colts were without Manning. The same effect could happen for the Cardinals next season, but in a positive way.

The Cardinals, with Manning, could be looking at four easy wins in their division plus the two other games against the 49ers. The 49ers have a great defense with a great front seven, however, Manning is probably the best quarterback at getting rid of the ball quickly before getting hit. This should provide Manning a good opportunity to beat the 49ers and win the division.

4. Manning Will Help the Defense

The Cardinals ranked in the bottom-half of all major defensive categories this year. Manning can help solve that issue.

He won't be playing defense for them, but his ability to methodically take a team down the field will keep the Cardinals defense on the bench. This will provide the defense with more energy on the field late in games as well as extra motivation to make stops whenever Manning gives them the lead.

Manning creates a winning atmosphere, which extends to both sides of the ball. Players respect Manning and his work ethic and will be eager to show him the dedication they have for the game.

5. Beanie Wells

Beanie Wells is a good running back that Manning can rely on. During his career with the Colts, Manning never truly had a good running game.

The Cardinals were towards the bottom in rushing yards this season but that was more of a reflection of their pass offense.

The Cardinals had problems at quarterback and teams were able to focus on the run first. While the Cardinals do have a good running game, they need a better passing element to balance their attack.

As for Manning, he will be able to rely on Wells to carry the team for some games and won't feel pressured to constantly throw the ball. This will also open up play-action passes giving the Cardinals a more unpredictable offensive scheme.

If Manning does get released by the Colts, the first place he should look to finish is career is in Arizona.
