The NBA trade deadline isn't until March 15, but trade talks are beginning to heat up surrounding some of the league's most recognizable players.
Trades can either make or break a team's chance at making the playoffs, so this year's trade deadline will be as important as ever.
Here are the four players most likely to be traded before the league's trade deadline.

Earlier in the week, the New Orleans Hornets expressed their desire to trade newly acquired center Chris Kaman.
The action is not a disciplinary response, but rather an attempt to open up more playing time for the Hornets' younger big men.
For Kaman, it's not a matter of if, but when. Now, it's just a matter of finding a suitor for the former Clipper.
The Cavaliers are reportedly mildly interested in Kaman.

Although it may seem crazy, teams have been inquiring about the availability of Paul Pierce in a trade with the Boston Celtics.
Pierce's production has tapered off some this season. The Celtics captain is only averaging 15.7 points per game and five rebounds per game.
I would imagine the only way the Celtics even consider parting ways with Pierce is if another team presents them with an offer that gives the Celtics the young talent they are severely lacking.
If Pierce goes anywhere, expect him to land on a playoff-contending team.

While Devin Harris has played well in Utah, the Jazz have reportedly put Harris on the trading block.
His contract is favorable with only one year left on his deal and, since he is 28, Harris is in the prime of his career.
The Los Angeles Lakers are a team that could use Harris. He would give them youth and speed in their backcourt, which is something they desperately lack.
Whether it's the Lakers or not, I expect Harris to be moved before the trade deadline.
Dwight Howard

The most publicized trade, or non-trade, this season has been Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.
At first I believed that the Magic would hold onto the All-Star center for the duration of the season and would take their chances in keeping him once the offseason rolls around. However, after Howard calling his teammates out and the team struggling in a big way this season, it's clear to see Howard's frustration in Orlando.
It could be more advantageous for the Magic to cut their loss and bring in some quality young talent to build around, along with players like J.J. Redick, Ryan Anderson and Glen Davis.
