Floyd Mayweather: Money May Makes Strongest Statement Yet on Pacquiao Bout
There is no turning back now for Floyd Mayweather.
The outspoken Money May has gone on Twitter to call out Manny Pacquaio and promoter Bob Arum:
But he didn’t stop there. Apparently he already knows who will be wining the fight:
It sounds like the blood test hang-up is no longer an issue. Mayweather is going to jail pretty soon after a potential May bout and he knows now is the time to give the people what they want…which is the fight of the decade.
Mayweather has never been a fan of Pacquaio’s promoter Bob Arum, who recently claimed the fight must be pushed back almost a month so they could build a 40,000 seat stadium along the strip in Las Vegas. Mayweather’s Golden Boy Promotions says that’s not necessary and using the MGM Grand’s venue would be just fine for an event that would likely break PPV records. Like Mayweather’s tweet states, he already has his guaranteed purse.
Meanwhile Pac-Man has decided to travel to an undisclosed remote location to decide on who his next opponent is going to be. The LA Times are reporting that he plans on making his decision this weekend. For once we can blame Pac-Man if he decides to go in another direction.
In the past it’s been Mayweather who has been the cause for a delay on the most anticipated fight in a very long time, but now the ball is squarely in Pacquaio’s court. With the heat Money May has been providing of late, it’s hard to envision Pacquiao saying no at this point.
We should find out for sure this weekend.
