The New York Giants earned their first home playoff victory since 2000. The win today sends New York to Lambo next weekend in a Week 13 rematch against the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.
In that Week 13 matchup, the Giants fell to the Packers by three points, and even held a tie with 58 seconds left in the game.
New York will travel to Green Bay with confidence, after a convincing win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Eli Manning passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns, two of which came via Hakeem Nicks, who also finished the day with 115 yards.
The Giants' rushing attack was what ultimately made the difference, as Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs combined for 155 yards, as the Giants rushed for 172 yards as a team.
While the game didn't see a turnover, it did see a fierce Giants' defense that took away the offensive weapons of the Falcons, including Michael Turner, who ran for a mere 41 yards on 15 carries.
New York did muster two sacks against Matt Ryan, thanks to Chris Canty and Osi Umenyiora.
The Giants are looking like the 2007 Super Bowl champion team, and should be poised to give Green Bay a real challenge next weekend.
