My WEC Wish-List For 2009!

I for one love watching the WEC, and thought it had a stellar 2008. I can only wish for a similar 2009. Get it "I can only wish for a similar 2009."

Here is my 2009 Wish-List for the WEC in 2009.

I wish that Carlos Condit retains his welterweight title, and then at the end of 2009 announces he is off for the UFC.

I wish Donald Cerrone wins the 155 pound belt against Jamie Varner. I loved "Cowboy" on the tapout show, I always root for those guys. Plus his fight with "Razor" Rob was classic.

I wish Miguel Torres and Urijah Faber fight in 2009! That would be an awesome fight!

I wish Urijah Faber and Jens Pulver have another battle. This first one was a classic. Let's hope Jens can do a little more against Urijah this time around.

I wish for Leonard Garcia to win the 145 title. Mike Brown just gets on my nerves, don't ask me why, he just does. Plus Leonard Garcia is the better fighter in my opinion. Faber/Garcia anyone? Most likely Faber would still have to fight Brown again, so it wouldn't interfere with that re-match either.

I wish Gina Carano fights in the WEC at some point in 2009. It's extremely entertaining to watch women's MMA, and I mean that in the most non-perverted way possible.

I wish some below average UFC guys would drop down to the WEC. They'd actually have a chance at a championship belt in the WEC. Just think of a guy that you like in the UFC, but has no chance of ever being a champion. For me it'd be Pete Sell,Nate Quarry, Marcus Davis, etc. Not to knock the WEC, but they'd stand more of a chance in the WEC than the UFC. (Note: only 170 and 155 pounders would be able to do this.)

I wish the WEC doesn't go the pay per view route. I love watching them every other moth or so on versus! It feeds my cravings for MMA.

I wish the WEC gets bigger and better, acquiring more talent for the 145 and 135 pound divisions. Those two division are fun as hell to watch. I wish they acquire more talent for the 170 and 155 pound divisions too, but they can do that with some help from the UFC. (Hint,Hint Dana!!!)

Those are the most of my wishes, the others will remain in my brain (until I decide I have enough to do a part two).

Enjoy!!!
