WWE TLC 2011: Will Shawn Michaels Save the Kliq?
Can Shawn Michaels save The Kliq?

So this is what it has come to...

A Sledgehammer Ladder Match at the 2011 WWE TLC 2011 between longtime friends Kevin Nash and Triple H.

While a lot of attention is being focused on CM Punk defending his WWE Championship in a Triple Threat TLC match against The Miz and Alberto Del Rio, the Sledgehammer Ladder Match shouldn't be overlooked.

Two legends and two longtime best friends will compete in a type of match we haven't seen.

When you want to talk about ladders being involved in a match you can't help to think of Shawn Michaels.

Michaels, along with Triple H and Nash are the best of friends, forming a group known as "The Kliq" in the mid-90s.

The Kliq is famous for its curtain call at Madison Square on May 19, of 1996, when they broke a code in wrestling and formed together in the ring.

What's the problem you ask?

Besides the fact that Nash—known as Diesel—and Scott Hall—known as Razor Ramon—were leaving for WCW, Triple H was a heel at the time, along with Nash.

On the other hand, Michaels and Hall were good guys.

Good guys and bad guys aren't supposed to break code in the ring, especially due to off-camera relationships.

While this isn't a big deal today, it does paint the picture of how close The Kliq is.

As of right now, the famous stable is in turmoil.

The last time these guys were together on stage was to celebrate Michaels' induction to the Hall of Fame earlier this year in Atlanta.

Nash claims Triple H is more of a boss than a friend now.  And Nash is out for blood.

Nash brutally attacked Triple H with a sledgehammer last month on Raw, which brought about this feud to a boiling point.

Once friends, now enemies, they will now battle to decide who gets to a sledgehammer first.  The winner gets to use the weapon on the already beaten opponent.

We haven't seen the retired Michaels since a June 27 episode of Raw.

However, with his best friends battling it out you can't help but think he isn't close by.

Michaels may be the only solution to prevent a nearly twenty year friendship from ending.
