WWE TLC 2011: Which Match Will Steal the Show?
WWE's TLC pay-per-view looks to have a very solid card in place, but one match in particular looks as if it will rise above the rest.
That match is the triple-threat TLC match for the WWE Championship between CM Punk, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio.
Seeing as the entire basis of the pay-per-view is the tables, ladders and chairs match, it only makes sense for it to be the headliner.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
While Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett and Triple H vs. Kevin Nash should all be good in their own right, none of them will hold a candle to the main event.
Punk has taken the WWE by storm since his worked-shoot promo during the summer and the storyline that saw him leave briefly with the WWE Championship following Money in the Bank.
He clearly has become the most popular superstar in the company, and because of that all of his matches seem huge at this point.
As good as Punk is on the microphone, he may be equally good in the ring.
He has put on tons of great matches over the past couple of months, especially with the likes of John Cena and Del Rio. Punk and Del Rio will lock horns again at TLC along with the added attraction of The Miz, whose heel persona alone enhances the match.
The fact that it's a TLC match makes it that much better as well.
There have been only 11TLC matches over the course of WWE history, and it's really difficult to think of one that hasn't been entertaining. That should once again be the case on Sunday, especially with the added wrinkle of it being a triple-threat match.
You never know what type of carnage or innovation might take place in a TLC match, so it usually keeps the viewers on the edges of their respective seats.
Few wrestlers in the business today are more innovative than Punk, so it should be expected that he'll think up something that has never been seen before in a TLC match.
The creative team did a nice job of making Punk seem at a disadvantage leading up to the match as well. Del Rio and Miz double teamed him on RAW and are making it seem as though they will try to knock him out of Sunday's match completely.
While they likely will succeed in getting the better of Punk in the early going, there will come a time when the heels will turn on each other due to their aspirations to grab the title. At this point it will become a true triple-threat match and Punk will be able to mount some offense.
I'm not expecting Punk vs. Del Rio vs. Miz to be the greatest TLC match of all time or anything, but I have to believe that it will be the longest and most interesting match on Sunday's card.
There are quite a few compelling bouts on tap, but due to the presence of Punk and the TLC stipulation, the main event will outshine all other matches.
