When wrestling writers talk about what is important to wrestling one of the biggest things we stress is the future. It is actually the most important thing if you were to ask me. I mean Shawn Michaels and Undertaker will not be around forever and neither will the rest of the superstars of the WWE and there has to be someone ready to pick up that torch that they drop.
So when inspecting the roster one man has always stood out from the rest. It was like his light shined brighter than any other. That man is John Morrison.
He has every tool at his disposal to become the greatest heel this business has ever seen. All he needs now is time. Time to build momentum before he breaks out and takes over the WWE.
Since his return in 2005, the young man has accomplished so much. From tag team success to winning a world title the young man has been on a roll over the past few years.
With the exception of one little brush with the Wellness Policy, Morrison has remained clean and has proved that if you work hard enough you can accomplish anything.
His narcissistic character works very well on television and I like a heel who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Morrison and the Miz are frequently on all three WWE shows which is very good. The more exposure they have to the casual audience the better.
John Morrison is the most underrated person in the WWE today and is often overlooked. Until now that is. It seems the WWE is giving a tag team not named DX a major push. What? How interesting. Could this be the beginning of Morrison's inevitable rise to the top? I doubt it; someday, but not any day soon.
The future? John Morrison is the future. He represents this generation better than CM Punk or Jeff Hardy. This generation is arrogant, prideful, and ungrateful. Hey, we are all guilty here. No, maybe that is a bit harsh, but Morrison represents that arrogant teenager inside of us no matter what age we may be (don’t deny it) and that will be a great character to build on in the future.
There is that word again, future. Whether the future of the WWE is Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jack Swagger, or whoever, you can rest assure that John Morrison will be there with his funny looking glasses and furry jackets with his Slow-mo ring entrance showing them all up. Sorry guys there is no mercy at "The Palace of Wisdom."
