WWE's Chris Jericho: The Full Package

Scott BeebyDec 29, 2008

When we think of future hall of famers in the WWE, at the top of everyone's list are the three obvious choices. Shawn Michaels, Undertaker and Triple H.

Following them most people would consider the Hardy brothers, John Cena, Batista and Randy Orton as having a good chance to join the illustrious company of countless legends. However, I think that there are three wrestlers that haven't been mentioned that should be thought of much more highly.

First and foremost the man we have come to know as 'Y2J'.

Taking into consideration the variety of matches he's wrestled, accomplishments and pure skill, Chris Jericho is the full package. He has the three things needed to become a force in the entertainment business. Charisma, mic skills and in-ring ability. He has been around the block a few times, and he is still improving with age.

His impressive resume reads like this:

  • Winner of the 2008 Superstar of the Year Slammy award.
  • Made a successful comeback after a lengthy stint on the sidelines.
  • He is known as a face, a heel and an anti hero.
  • His the creator of the Money In The Bank ladder match.
  • He was the first undisputed champion
  • 2 x World Heavyweight Champion
  • 8 x Intercontinental Champion (record)
  • 3 x Tag Team Champion

He has competed in the following match types:

  • Royal Rumble
  • King Of The Ring
  • Money In The Bank
  • Championship Scramble (winner)
  • Elimination Chamber
  • Hell In A Cell
  • TLC (winner)
  • Unsanctioned match

The only other wrestlers that come anywhere close to Jericho in terms of match types are Edge and Kane. Together the three of them are the only people in the WWE today that have wrestled in every common match type possible.

The 'Ayatollah of Rock'n'Rolla' is truly destined for greatness. This isn't even taking into account his days in WCW. The best thing that he has going for him is the fact that he is only 38 years old, so he could be wrestling at Wrestlemania 30!
