UFC 140 Results: What's Next for Krzysztof Soszynski?

Krzysztof Soszynski was on a two-fight win streak heading into his UFC 140 fight with Igor Pokrajac. That streak ended in the first 40 seconds of the fight with a quick knockout by Pokrajac.

Now Soszynski, who used The Ultimate Fighter to get into the UFC, is 6-3 inside the promotion and is now back to the drawing board.

Soszynski didn't look good in the short time he was in the cage. Pokrajac landed some nice punches, and once Soszynski got rocked he was immediately backpedaling to the cage fence. Once there, Pokrajac unleashed and knocked Soszynski out. It took Soszynski a minute to regain consciousness and probably thought Bill Clinton was still president.

Soszynski is a big boy, and at age 34 he is finding it tough to still break into the top 25 light heavyweights in MMA. It looked like he was finally getting close, but Pokrajac proved otherwise.

Now Soszynski should get a no-name fighter, perhaps a first-timer in the UFC. Soszynski has beaten the likes of Stephan Bonnar and Brian Stann, but he finds himself now close to fighting for his job.

He entered The Ultimate Fighter with so much potential, but now he is in a tough spot.

Soszynski can't hang with the middle tier fighters now, but he can hang with the lesser guys. Going back to the bottom of the division could prove helpful for the light heavyweight.
