Breaking down the 2011/2012 College Bowl System into three weeks is the best way for me to get amped  up for these three long and great weeks.

Week 1 usually has the worst games. Week 1 will span from Dec. 17 to Dec. 24, and during this time there will be only seven bowls. That is a great number to get you started before the onrush of bowl games during Weeks 2 and 3.

With all that said, let's take a look at those seven bowl games for Week 1.

No. 7: Florida International vs. Marshall

I'm sorry, even with me being from Florida I have no desire to watch this game.

If you do watch, which I will, look out for Kedrick Rhodes. Rhodes is a sophomore out of my hometown of Ocala, Fla. and is the leader for the Golden Panthers, notching more than 1,100 yards rushing on the season.

No. 6: San Diego State vs. Louisiana-Lafayette

Probably one of the most lopsided games of Week 1.

Look for San Diego State to run all over Lafayette, as Aztec running back Ronnie Hillman is one of the best running backs in the game.

No. 5: Arizona State vs. Boise State

All I can say is sorry to Boise State fans. No way should the Broncos be playing in this bowl or against a team like this.

I will watch to see QB Kellen Moore, but besides that, this game will be boring.

No. 4: Temple vs. Wyoming

Temple's running attack should be to much for Wyoming. Should be a fun game to watch, but the Owls will win.

No. 3: Nevada vs. Southern Miss

Really looking forward to this game. Haven't watched Southern Mississippi yet this year, but Eagles should win.

No. 2: TCU vs. Louisiana Tech

TCU should win easily, but it will be a better game than most people will think. I see TCU pulling away in second half.

Look for big plays in this game.

No. 1: Ohio vs. Utah State

I know, a MAC team versus a Mountain West team—how is this the best game?

I have two names for you: Robert Turbin from Utah State and Tyler Tettleton of Ohio.

Look for a shootout. Game could go either way—might as well flip a coin.

Well, there are your first week games. Lots of good talent on display.

Remember, we have three games on Dec. 17, then one each on Dec. 20, 21, 22 and 24.
