My favorite tag team of all time is the Legion of Doom. I'm also a fan of Team 3D, better known as The Dudleys.
However, it seems as if Team 3D is claiming to be the Greatest Tag Team of All Time.
Let's look at these teams to see which one should reign supreme.
Team 3D
A strong stable that's been holding on tight like super glue, The Dudleys debuted back in 1996. They won eight ECW Tag Team Championships and defeated teams like The Eliminators, The Gangstas, Full Blooded Italians, and the awesome team of Rob Van Dam and Sabu.
They went to WWE in 1999, where they won the WCW Tag Team Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship—a total of ten titles. Their greatest success in WWE came from their classic TLC matches with The Hardys and Edge and Christian. They even won Pro Wrestling Illustrated's (PWI) award for "Match of the Year" back-to-back in 2000 and 2001, as well as PWI "Tag Team of the Year" in 2001.
Now in TNA, Team 3D remain a dominant force in the suffering tag team division of pro wrestling. They've feuded with America's Most Wanted, LAX and the legendary Steiner Brothers.
Legion of Doom
Their legacy dates back to 1983, wrestling in numerous promotions. Most memorable in NWA, they moved their back in 1986. One of their most talked about matches is their starrcade '86 Scaffold match with the Midnight Express.
They've won different NWA tag team titles in different NWA promotions. PWI ranked them first on their list of the 100 best tag teams during the "PWI Years" in 2003. They were named PWI "Tag Team of the Year" in 1983,1985, and 1988.
They're two time WWE World Tag Team Champions, with wins over the Nasty Boys and the Godwinns.
They are also known for carrying their legacy over to Japan, competing and winning the IWGP Tag Team Titles in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Michael Hegstrand (Hawk) passed away in October 19,2003. Even with just one member, The Road Warriors are still a memoriable tag team. OH WHAT A RUSH!!!
Both are great tag teams, but a little known fact to Team 3D—The Brisco Brothers were twenty-time tag team champs before you. Check out the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame.

WOW you are asking a lot. The LOD are one of the greats of course, even the Dudleys say that. But in titles you have 3D with 21 tag titles. And LOD are not near that, so best of all time if you talk most gold has to be 3D, but in what a team has accomplished LOD. See LOD made the tag team work everywhere they went. Most places they went the tag team was basically the low evening kind of thing that people really didn't like to see. But they made it exciting, even adding tag moves that made us go WOW. Of course the Hardys, 3D, and others have added their own little bit to it. But LOD started it all. Best of all time is hard because they are so close. It has to be a tie because one team made the tag team and the other perfected it

Huh, this is a tough one. I can name at least 5 other teams that belong in this running (if it is the best "ever")...
The Steiner Brothers (before Scott got foot drop)
The Rock and Roll Express
Edge & Christian
The Hardy Boys
The Blade Runners (Sting and the Ultimate Warrior...sorry, couldn't resist that one!)

they may be in the running Doctor, but they are not up there with LOD and 3D, clearly they are the top 2, picking between them is hard if you saw both wrestle. Currently 3D is the best. but that is now, during LOD's time they were, so how do you judge that. Sure E and C deserve consideration aswell as the Steiners, and Hardys. But as I said 3D and LOD are the best among them all

Seriously, take the Blade Runners, put them in the WWE today with the right direction (from Vince), and you would have one of the most popular and best teams ever! (I mean, of course, if both guys were still in their primes!) Then we could have the classic split up and feud of the team as well! Now that is one of those "top 10 angles we wish we could have seen"...dude, I keep giving you these great article ideas...when you are famous, you better give some credit to Doctor Death LOL!

Greatest tag team ever has to be the Mulkey Brothers! Lol But for my money, Nothing compares to when the Road Warriors would hit the ring and completely dominate whoever they wrestle. Good feud with the Midnight Express especially the skywalkers match. Shame how WWE made them into a joke towards the end
