WWE Raw: Could the "2012" Videos Signify the Returns of Shane and Stephanie?
Hello, fellow Bleachers! Welcome to my latest article. A big shout out here to B/R reader Carlos Castor Neto for opening my eyes to the theory I'm about to write about. Here's to you, Carlos!
Reading through the comments section of some articles on the 2012 videos the other day, one comment stood out to me above all others. And that was a statement that maybe the children in the 2012 videos could represent the returns of Shane and Stephanie McMahon.
I will admit, when I first read the comment, I kind of played it off, but after I went back and watched the two videos again, I began to think a lot more that this actually would fit the videos.
It starts in the first video, when the child says that they are a familiar force coming back to claim what is rightly theirs. I'm paraphrasing here, but I think I covered the gist of it.
What's to say the child is not speaking literally about himself? He may be reading a verse from the Bible, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's reading it for The Undertaker, Chris Jericho or anyone else that people have been saying the video is prophesying the return of.
In the second 2012 video, the child speaks of the power returning as a thief in the night, coming back to reclaim what is his. Since Shane was the one who "bought" WCW in the merger, he could lay claim to the fact that WWE is his.
Now on to Stephanie. The obvious parallel is the young girl in the video near the end. If we recall, though, she and Hunter were the heads of the McMahon-Helsmley era. She could be joining up with Shane to reclaim the WWE from the hands of one John Laurinaitis.
Sure, there are holes in this theory, as there are holes in the theories of anyone that has been rumored to be the focus of these videos.
Let me know what you think. Could the 2012 videos be the return of the heirs to the McMahon family fortune?
Thanks for reading.
