Melissa Kellerman: New Twists in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader's Twitter Mystery
The story has changed since reporting yesterday that Melissa Kellerman, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who was tackled by Jason Witten, was forced to delete her Twitter account.
Rich Dalrymple, the teamโs VP of public relations and communication, issued a statement to CBS, which inquired if they had actually indeed made her remove her profile from Twitter.
He said, โThe Dallas Cowboys Football Club did not.ย We donโt get involved in administering Twitter accounts.โ

Whoa.
So what happened to @MelissaRae?
Her account was down for a day or two, and now it has returned but protected from view by anyone who isnโt an accepted follower. Maybe she wants it that way?
The two tweets she posted that drew some harmless media attention before the disappearance were:
"โNot hurtinโ today, like some of yโall thought I would be! Our TE isnโt as tough as he looksโฆThat or Iโm WAY tougher than I look โ
and,
โIโm not the best at Jason Witten trust fallsโ
"
Perhaps the girl just needs some privacy?
She went from being just another pretty Cowboys cheerleader to a woman that people wanted to talk to about Witten, and him running her over.
Maybe she just got sick of it? How many times can you talk about a stupid story of an NFL tight end bumping into you and then helping you up?
It took about 10 seconds to unfold and probably less for her to retell how it happened.
Itโs really not that great of a tale, but since she is beautiful and it happened during a nationally televised game on a national holiday, it has become a national story.
Weโll keep you updated if anything new breaks on why exactly she took her Twitter down and brought it back protected a few days later.ย
