Yahoo's "Expert" Fantasy Football Analysis Is for Suckers

Before I go any further, i'd just like to say Yahoo makes a good search engine.

It's their selection of Fantasy Experts that has more than a few fans shaking their heads.

Going into today, I had found myself looking at a title, and after the two games in the books, I was down 18-20.

And in a quandary.

On one end, I had the Steelers, great defense, just came off a major win against the Ravens, and on the other, the Patriots, who had been giving up about 20 points per game through a stretch.

Airing this out, the consensus was that the Cards' passing game should have a good day against the Patriots' depleted secondary.

Okay, fine.

Which of these guys didn't grow up in New England?

Then, they started throwing out other oddball ideas, like Braylon Edwards should have a good day against the Bengals. What? This is a team that hasn't scored an offensive TD in about eight games now. Where do they get their data, a Magic Eight Ball? A dart board?

For QB—Donovan McNabb. Well, on paper, this was a push, considering his last three games weren't bad...but maybe he was worried about overtime, and didn't know if that Tie thing was still real or not.

Vikings? Someone stitch a handle on the ball for Adrian Peterson—he can't hang onto it otherwise. And there went Bernard Berrian, although his was a question mark anyway.

But the two things that galled me, was the belief that Brandon Jacobs wouldn't play...he and winds up scoring three times. Where was that, Yahoo experts?

Or Tony Romo.

Or Terrell Owens.

If I was a paying customer for their live stats tracker, and in a league that costs about 250 bucks to play in...

I'd be asking for someone's head in this case. On a platter.
