Bowl Predictions: Which Fringe Teams Will Sneak into BCS Bowls

0 of 4

With so many teams at one and two losses many of them have a chance at making it into a BCS bowl game.

A lot of teams have now completed their season without an opportunity to play for their conference championship and will have to sweat it out on bowl selection day.

But ultimately three of these fringe teams will get selected. It is just up in the air as to who it will be.

Michigan Wolverines

If you had told Brady Hoke he would be headed to a BCS bowl in his first season at the helm of the Michigan program he would have been ecstatic.

Well, it seems as though that is going to be the result of the Wolverines season.

With a win over Ohio State yesterday the Wolverines improved to 10-2 and are one of the favorites to receive an at-large bid to a BCS bowl.

Right now I would project them to play against Houston in the Sugar Bowl.

Stanford Cardinal

It is hard to believe that a team currently ranked No. 6 in the BCS is on the fringe. But after losing to Oregon a few weeks ago, the Cardinal put themselves in a bad position as they will not play for their conference championship.

Nonetheless, the Cardinal finished the season strong with just one loss and are probably the closest team to a lock as an at-large bid for a BCS bowl.

Right now I am projecting them to play in the Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma State.

Louisville Cardinals

The Big East is an absolute joke.

Louisville is a likely representative in the BCS from the conference and they have finished the season with a 7-5 record.

As long as Cincinnati loses to UConn next week, the Cardinals will find their way into the Orange Bowl against either Virginia Tech or Clemson.

Cincinnati and West Virginia also have a shot at the bid but Louisville's is easiest.
