Roddy White is back.

After being M.I.A for the majority of the season, finally White is back to being one of the best five receivers in the league.

White was targeted 14 times against the Titans on Sunday, and he put up a season-high 140 yards.

He has 54 receptions for 710 yards (13.1 yards per catch) and three touchdowns for the year, which is good for a normal receiver, but not for White.

He is on pace for roughly the same amount of targets as last year, but the big difference has been his drops. For whatever reason the Pro Bowl receiver has caught a serious case of the dropsy’s and it has likely lost him around 200 yards and two-to-three TDs.  It has nothing to do with Matt Ryan or Julio Jones; this is something that can be put squarely on White’s shoulders.

Is Roddy White Still a Top Five Receiver?

While there are no guarantees he is completely over this odd phenomenon, his history tells us it’s more of a fluke than a trend.

Remember: White has 28 TDs in the last three years and 3,924 yards. This guy has been top five receiver for a while.

He is certainly poised to collect 100 yards and a TD this week, against a Vikings defense that has allowed a touchdown to the opponents No. 1 receiver in three of the last four games.

With three poor pass defenses left on the slate in addition to Minnesota (Carolina, New Orleans, Tampa Bay), White is primed to be one of the main reasons you win your fantasy league.

It’s been a rocky ride for White in 2011…but it’s smooth sailing from here.
