Tonight in the Tribute to the Troops. An annual event the WWE does to entertain the United States armed forces. Now, usually they take an episode of RAW out and put the Tribute to the Troops in it's place.

This year NBC wanted in on it, so the WWE let them. NBC will broadcast the taped show tonight in primetime. Since it was taped a few weeks back it will be interesting if people who had titles when it was taped still do in the show.

Like if Edge still has the World Title or Hardy is wearing it. I think they are smarter than that, though—it's the WWE.

But one thing that the troops love to see is someone crowd surf a bit. Rey Mysterio has done it before. John Cena has fallen back and did a small bit himself. Which brings me to the Big Show.

Today John Cena did an interview with the Boston Herald to hype up the show tonight and he talks about Big Show crowd surfing, here it is:

"It is risky," he said of the trip. "But like I said, I’ve never felt safer in my life. Those men and women certainly have their act together over there."

Cena also recalled Big Show crowd surfing in Iraq.

"We took our giant over there with us,” Cena said.

“His name is the Big Show. He runs about 7 feet, 500 pounds. And I don’t know if it’s going to be in the program or not. I really hope it is because he decided to go crowd surfing.

"I told him it was a bad idea, but those soldiers held him up, and I saw a 7-foot, 500-pound giant go crowd surfing on the United States’ finest."

I'd love to see it myself, and the WWE knows that it was a priceless moment, so why not show it? I think they will if I had to bet on it.

Maybe as a small intro to the show or something. The moment I remember every time I think about the Tribute to the Troops show is seeing Stone Cold as Santa.

And also seeing Torrie Wilson and other divas in a lets just say contest, (keeping it PG) in Iraq. It is on NBC, so I think they will stay the PG course this year, Dang! Those guys in Iraq need to see that kind of stuff.

I personally will be watching, and I hope you will, too. At least to see Big Show crowd surf, if anything.

i was disappointed with the show. it didn't seem as good as in years past and the crowd didn't seem as into it as in previous years. i fear wrestling is in for a big downturn in attendance and ratings if things don't get interesting soon.

Well I felt it was not long enough. Usually since it is a RAW show they have it about 2 hours. It may have seemed the crowd was not into it, buit I think you may just be used to filled staduims where the sound stays in. It was outside and the attendance was not huge considering there was not as many people as a usual show. It is like that everytime. I think the troops got a kick out of it myself
