Chicago Bears: 7 Players Who Deserve Your Pro Bowl Vote

1 of 8

The Bears have had a lull in getting players to the Pro Bowl on the offensive side of the ball for some time now, but this year it looks like they could get at least one player there. On the defensive side, the Bears have several players who could represent the team in the Super Bowl.

And then there is the special teams unit. It’s almost a sure thing to assume that Devin Hester is going to be a Pro Bowler when it’s all said and done.

So which seven players from the Bears are deserving of your vote to go to the Pro Bowl? Let’s find out as we look at the seven players that deserve your Pro Bowl vote for the Bears

Roberto Garza

Garza has held things together on the offensive line for the Bears and has performed well since taking over for the departed Olin Kreutz. There were many people who expected problems at the center position after Kreutz’s departure, but things have remained steady and the veteran experience that he has helps.

Devin Hester

Hester should be a shoe in for the Pro Bowl this year, and at last count, he was leading all Pro Bowlers with votes as the return specialist. Hester has managed to keep on returning kicks for scores breaking records all along the way.

He has one record left to break: Deion Sanders all time returns for touchdowns, and then he will be at the top of his game in every single return category possible. He provides the Bears with great field position either through his run backs or what kickers to avoid having him return kicks and is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

Brian Urlacher

4 of 8

Urlacher is having another great season and doesn’t appear to be slowing down. He has come up with some critical defensive plays at crucial times and has been an asset for the Bears on defense. He made the Pro Bowl last year on a good season and is having an even better year this year, so he deserves a Pro Bowl vote.

Lance Briggs

5 of 8

Briggs is having another monster year this year and is nearly a shoe in to get into the Pro Bowl once again. The combination of Briggs and Urlacher has been a good one for the team and both players really make a difference for the Bears on defense.  Briggs racks up the tackles game after game, and there is no reason to think why he won’t be in the Pro Bowl this year.

Charles Tillman

6 of 8

It’s about time that this hard working cornerback got voted into the Pro Bowl. He’s had a stellar season playing the position and not only covers well but also causes turnovers at critical moments in games which helps the Bears win. He’s gone unnoticed for his entire career, and if there was a year that he deserved this recognition, it’s this year.

Tim Jennings

7 of 8

On the other side of Tillman is Jennings and Jennings has been able to shut things down well over the course of this season. What’s nice about Jennings is that he plays the run very well and for his size tackles very well. He’s not afraid to take on bigger backs and receivers and will always bring them down. He deserves a shot at being in the NFL’s all star game this season.

Matt Forte

8 of 8

While Hester is a shoe in to make the Pro Bowl, Forte should be another player on the Bears that should be guaranteed to get into the Pro Bowl this year. No one player has meant more to his team than Forte has, and with his production and ability, he’s managed to help get the Bears to where they are at today. There is no way that he could be counted out of going to the Pro Bowl this year.
