Jerry Sandusky Interview: Bob Costas Interview Seals Sandusky's Fate

Donald WoodNov 15, 2011

I don’t know what a monster sounds like, but I imagine it sounds an awful lot like Jerry Sandusky sounded last night.

The former Penn State defensive coordinator has been accused of sexually assaulting at least eight children, but decided to come out and talk on national television.

Sandusky is already guilty in the public’s eye, but every man and women in the United States deserves to be innocent until proven guilty.

All questions about Sandusky’s innocence were answered during his interview with Bob Costas.

Costas is one of the better interviewers in the world, and he knew this case inside and out.

Sandusky did this interview to try to save his image with the public or at least try to show that he is not the monster that he has made out to be.

What resulted was a worse perception than when the interview began, and Sandusky sounds like the creepiest man you would ever want to meet.

The interview is hard to listen to at times because of its graphic nature, but its all too telling when it comes to the facts of the case and the responses from Sandusky.

Of all the riveting moments, the hardest for me to swallow was when Costas asks Sandusky if he is sexually attracted to young boys.

Instead of the immediate, “Hell no,” that every normal man would say, Sandusky repeats the question to himself twice and then proceeds to utter the phrase, “I enjoy young people.”

WRONG!

What the hell was going through Sandusky’s brain when he decided to answer that question in that manner on national television?

Overall, what I learned from this interview is that Sandusky is hell bent on self-destruction after destroying so many innocent lives over the years.

As for Sandusky’s lawyer, he has his own issues to contend with.
