Week 10 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Start Percy Harvin Against Green Bay Packers

In the first half of the 2011 season, Vikings WR Percy Harvin was held down by injuries and a lousy passing attack.

Since the arrival of rookie quarterback Christian Ponder, the passing game in Minneapolis has improved drastically. This led to the first big performance for Harvin in the win against the Carolina Panthers, despite overwhelming rib pain.

With the bye week now finished and Harvin feeling healthy at last, expect something big from the former Florida Gator.

Green Bay will do what every team does— stack the box against the Vikings running game featuring "A.D.," Adrian Peterson—unless they don't value Aaron Rodgers having the ball much.

Thusly, it will be up to Ponder, Harvin, Michael Jenkins and the rest of the passing game to exploit a weak Green Bay Packers pass defense that ranks 31st in the NFL.

Harvin can be expected to have the breakthrough game of his 2011 season on Monday night, much like Julio Jones last week against the Indianapolis Colts. Jones also was coming off an injury and made up for lost time by having a two-touchdown performance.

It may sound crazy, largely because the Vikings are not expected to win. But it will promise to be a close game. Neither defense is playing elite ball, so this will be an explosive offensive showing, much like the first time these teams met. Only this time around, Harvin will be the story.

If you have Harvin in a fantasy league, this is the week to start him.
