Ron Washington: Loud Mouth?

As Ozzie Guillen leaves Chicago for Miami, the American League was thought to have lost their biggest potty-mouth manager, but it seems like Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington could be the heir to the title.

On Sunday afternoon, released a recording of the Texas Rangers clubhouse's pregame speech before Game 7 of the World Series. In the recording, Washington attempts to rile up his team by telling them that they could defeat the St. Louis much more colorful language.

The Rangers' manager dropped several f-bombs and expletives to refer to the team across the field. There is no recording on the web of the Cardinals clubhouse before the game, but they could also of been using similar language, in Washington's defense. The Rangers were also coming off a rough loss in Game 6, so the emotions got the best of their manager hours later.

Ron Washington does not seem like the ideal role model for kids to look up to. He admitted to cocaine use in recent years and has started to resemble a Samuel L. Jackson type of character in the clubhouse with his latest antics.

Could the rant before Game 7 have been fueled with the thought he could have been fired afterwards? When a manager leads a team to the World Series for two-straight years and loses, there isn't much he is doing wrong. It is doubtful that he was fearing for his job. For all the public knows, the Game 7 pregame speech could have been a step down from previous playoff games.
