With Survivor Series 2011 just two weeks away, I figure now is the time to start looking back at the November classic. No, no, no, no baseball topics here! I am talking about WWE here...

To kick off my series of many articles on "one of the big four" PPV shows, I decided to try an "out of the box" countdown. Best moments backstage! While most legendary moments are made in the middle of the ring, many are made in a backstage setting as well! Don't believe me? Continue on...

Reminder: I am now on Twitter @JustinWatry! I am starting to get the hang of it...

5. Vince Talks to His Son and His Worst Enemy

There was a ton of foreshadowing with this segment. I knew when watching it that it meant "something," but I never did figure it out. Of course, by the end of the night we all knew!

Vince McMahon giving a pep talk to Shane McMahon over his match with Kane? On the same night as Vince's match with The Undertaker? All the while he bumps into Stone Cold on his final night as Raw General Manager? Powerful stuff...

4. Kurt Angle Teases a Match with HBK?

This was during Edge's beginning as a main event performer. Him talking to Kurt Angle about never being World champion was great. Of course, Edge turned that around by saying he took out Shawn Michaels.

Angle responded by saying he would make "Shawn Michaels tap in seconds." With that one little line, the seeds for the HBK/Angle classic at WrestleMania 21 were planted.

Add in a fun cameo by Eugene at the end and you have a classic backstage moment. You could clearly see Edge on the rise during this segment. He was slowly getting there...

3. Triple H Did What?!?!

This was the beauty of Survivor Series. Take enemies. Take friends. Take whoever you want and team them up! Sure, why not?

On this night, Triple H teamed up with Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy (injured), Rey Mysterio and Kane. As the interview progressed, each person called out The Game on his past. Well, Triple H did apologize, but it wasn't exactly sincere.

Great moment here! It was also a wonderful match that started putting over Jeff Hardy as a legit player in the company for years to come. Sadly, that did not pan out...

2. Vince Gives an Epic Promo

We all remember the stakes. It was team WWF (WWE) vs. Team Alliance (WCW and ECW) for the entire control of the business. The losing team would be out of business. The winning team would get bragging rights forever.

The winner was never in doubt, but it was a great storyline to get to the payoff. Vince standing triumphant on the stage was always the endgame. Before we could get to that point, we had an epic "pep talk" for the boss to his men.

Just watch the video. You will understand how big this main event was...

1. Lesnar and Goldberg Meet

I went back and forth on the No. 1 choice, but Brock Lesnar's opening "I didn't lose" line put it over the top. Also, the fact that Lesnar was the WWE champion, while Bill Goldberg was the World champion was the icing on the cake.

What an amazing sight to see! These two standing face to face for the first time ever! Again, it set the stage for WrestleMania in the upcoming months, while providing a classic moment at the same time!

It is too bad their WrestleMania match went as it did. Oh well, this "moment" is more than special. Wonderful job to everybody involved here!
