This story has slipped under the cracks this week, but it needs a mention.

As most remember, WWE released four talents back on August 5th, 2011. Well, their 90-day no-compete clauses look to be officially up!

According to this report, Chris Masters, David Hart Smith, Melina and Vladimir Kozlov are now free to join TNA Wrestling. Yes, their entire career path is now up to them. What will each one do? Let me examine:

Chris Masters

He has been a little cryptic with some of his Tweets about heading to TNA, but I am not sure he wants to make the jump. He lives in California, so heading to Florida every once in awhile may be too much for him.

As for his talents? He improved a ton during his last run. You can say what you want about him during his first run in WWE years ago. However, his most recent matches were great. The best part about Chris Masters is his age.

He is still a young man. He came into the business really early, so he had time to improve. He has now built himself into being an actual "talent" worth having.

David Hart Smith

This man is heading to MMA it seems, so working for TNA probably won't work. Bobby Lashley tried it, but it failed. Big time!

David Hart Smith has the "name," and he has the "size." Outside of that, I do not see anything worth while. I wish him well in his future, but TNA would be making a smart move by NOT hiring him.

I am almost positive she is headed to TNA. Why not? WWE is in her past, and she doesn't seem to want to venture outside the wrestling business. Maybe Mr. John Morrison can follow her, too?

She will appear in TNA! She'll beat somebody the first week, get a tag team title the next week and be in another title match at the next PPV show! Seems about right...

Vladimir Kozlov

I enjoyed his initial heel run. His run as a face was just not very good. He had a nice time in "Double Double E," but it never amounted to much.

A run in TNA could do this guy wonders. He could show off his skills, have a few good matches and make a return to WWE with a new focus! It may actually work...

In conclusion, none of these talents jumping ship to TNA will mean a whole lot in the end. Don't believe me? Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Sting, Steiner, Nash, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Rob Van Dam, Eric Bischoff, Mickie James, Tara, Ric Flair, Christian, Kurt Angle and countless others went to TNA...and nothing happened!
