Mark ColvinOct 30, 2011

The tides have shifted in the Eden Hazard sweepstakes.

Until recently, the Lille star has usually been linked to Real Madrid or Arsenal, with Arsenal leading the charge. But the landscape is swiftly changing.

Chelsea has emerged as the front-runner for the skilled playmaker's services, with Andre Villas-Boas looking to add youth to the aging side.

Hazard, at just 20 years of age, represents the next generation of world football superstars. The amount of playmaking talent that is just hitting stride is immense.

He is currently leading Lille, the Ligue 1 champions, through its Champions League appearance, while also being a mainstay on the Belgium national team.

Hazard is currently valued at an estimated at £40 million. The bidding war will continue and one thing is for sure—Hazard will be changing kits in January.

Clubs rumoured to be in on Hazard: Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and off course, Chelsea.

Things could change quickly in the next few months though.

Who do you think will end up getting his services?
