While doing some research on college, I  saw some teams who deserved to be in the Top 25 next year, and some who didn't. So, once again I have another Top 25 list for the 2008 college football season. I even put in some bowl predictions at the end.

25.Miami

24.TCU

23.Georgia Tech

22.South Florida

21. Kentucky

20.Nebraska

19.Boise State

18.Tennessee

17.Penn state

16.Auburn

15.Clemson

14.Arizona State

13.Virgina Tech

12.Illinois

11.Wisconsin

10.Texas

With Quarterback Colt McCoy at his prime in the college game, the Longhorns must improve their running game and secondary.

9.Missouri

The Heisman finalist, Chase Daniel returns, and Jeremy Maclin lead a 12-win team with 16 starters returning.

8.Kansas

The 12-1 Orange bowl champs have nearly their whole entire defense and quarterback Tood Reesing returning.

7.West Virginia

Pat White and Noel Devine lead another explosive offense, but new coach Bill Stewart is still not clicking to me.

6.LSU

11 starters have to be replaced, but the Tigers are set at QB with Ryan Perrilloux.

5.Florida

Running back Emmanuel Moody joins Tim Tebow in the backfield, but the Gators' defense must improve.

4.USC

These Trojans are loaded with young talent, such as Rey Maualuga. Also. Coach Pete Carrol's recruting will load this team for years to come. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Trojans won the National Championship.

3.Oklahoma

The Sooners have almost their entire offense back, but their defensive performance in the Fiesta Bowl raises questions.

2.Ohio State

The Buckeyes lose only two starters from a team that went to the national title.

1.Georgia

There are 17 starters back on a team that's defense showed up every game in seven straight wins, and QB Matthew Stafford and running back Knowshon Moreno return to lead the offense.

I may be a homer, but there's no way Missouri should be behind kU. While they may be returning a good number of starters on defense, they won't be returning DB Aqib Talib, who was a big reason why kU's defense was so good in 12 of the 13 games they played (ha! try to guess which one they DIDN'T play good defense in!). I'd honestly be shocked if they finish in the top 15 when they have to actually go up against more than one quality opponent in the regular season. kU will get USF, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, an improved Colorado, a [likely] improved Nebraska, and Missouri. In Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma, they could face three top-10 teams. Mangino's a hell of a coach, but I don't think he has the talent to win any more than 9 games in 2008.

Also, while I'm on my homer soap box, don't pencil OU in for the Big XII title just yet. The Big XII Championship game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, so if it's Missouri or kU 1) They'll have a home field advantage, as Kansas City is about 2 hours from Columbia and about an hour from Lawrence and 2) Missouri and kU will have played a game at Arrowhead the week before and will have a good feel for the conditions in Kansas City.

    Michigan(Thank god)?

You are supposed to be objective bud, don't insert your person spite for a team into the article, or I won't take it seriously.

Nino, Once again the writer is not here to please you! Your like a nagging 80 yr old-woman. Anything written can be objective or subjective material.

And your arrogance, obviously shows exactly where your roots derive!

The writer is having fun, by just guessing to what he thinks will the landscape for next season. I disagree with his choices but it's just for fun dude!

Ah, can I consider you my second fan?

This is great, I'm getting a fan club. I've yearned for one so long. I've arrived. Am I arrogant? Yes, absolutely.

I don't have any problem with his choices. But his obvious dislike for Michigan

By the way Nick, "God this team sucks" isn't exactly making it better. If you think they suck I'd like to know why, other than your allegiance to Notre Dame.

Oh and James, I don't have a problem with him voicing his opinion on next season. But at least be a little objective. Start a blog if you want to have fun and do that type of crap, I do and I have my fun there. This is formal writing, I'd like to think people actually put thought and good effort into these articles.

No i said that not for my allegiance for ND but the fact they all ways let me down. Last year I pick them to crush USC in the national championship and they go 8-4.

Given FSU's 2008 Schedule, it appears they are making every move possible to ensure they are a Top 25 team.

Okay ... you'll need a spell check. But, that stated I feel that the two predictions .. USC gets into the BCS bowl as the second pick, wins, and carroll leaves ... must be saved for posterity as it could be the most accurate prediction going into the 2008 season.

Take that Stu Mandell over at SI.

    USC / Class of 1984

While appreciate where you have placed my beloved Mountaineers, I think your reasoning may be a little off. Coach Stewart I feel will do a fine job. Mainly because unlike many coaching changes he has been a head coach before and has been with WVU for quite some time now. I think where WVU may lack is on the defensive side of the ball and may lack depth at the RB position thanks to the stupidity of one of them.

    Nick understand this.

I don't believe Michigan deserves to be in the Top 25 next year. Not at all. Until they prove it, they are not going to be in it. I'm not disagreeing with you in that aspect.

    But my point is this.

Your claim isn't backed up. The fact that you are evening inserting a "Michigan, thank god this team sucks" ruins your credibility. I'm just trying to give you advice. I would never do something like that about a team like Ohio State. If they aren't in it, they aren't in it. You are letting your true colors show and not backing them up.

That matchup of UGA and USC would be a hella of a game. The Dawgs will have extra motovation after the Rose bowl snub. Go Dawgs.

Your predictions for bowl games are impossible because there can't be three teams from one conference and you have three SEC teams, and Go Dawgs.

Nick, you presently have three SEC teams. Florida, LSU, and Georgia. Georgia counts even though they are in the national championship game. By rule, that cannot happen, although some would argue that this rule need not exist anyways.
