Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Delone Carter and 3 Players You Must Add

Kyle VassaloOct 28, 2011

Stop being stubborn. Playing the waiting game with Peyton Hillis, Chris Johnson and Chad Ochocinco is a surefire recipe to racking up losses and being a lightening rod for smack talk. It's time to move on, at least for the time being.

There are players on the waiver wire who will fill the void until your superstar decides to wake up. If your roster is set and you are looking for a spot start to fill a bye week void, or if you just don't like the matchups you're facing this week, you've come to the right place.

Here are three guys who are likely sitting on your waiver wire that you have to pick up this week.

Delone Carter

1 of 3

Delone Carter is going to take on a major role in the offense with Joseph Addai banged up. Even if Addai is able to contribute, you can expect the bulk of the carries to go to Carter.

The Colts take on the Titans this week and while it will be a blowout, that won't stop Carter from producing. He had 89 yards and a score last week in a 62-7 rout and with the Titans allowing 124.5 rushing YPG, you can expect him to break loose, no matter how far the Colts fall behind.

Andy Dalton

2 of 3

You can trust Andy Dalton. It's scary starting a rookie quarterback, but this is no average rookie QB. He's thrown for over 250 yards in two of his last three games and he's facing a vulnerable Seahawks defense this week that is guaranteed to lie down.

Seattle allows 250 passing yards per game and if you've got a stud quarterback like Aaron Rodgers on a bye week, Dalton is good for 250 yards and at least one touchdown this week.

Emmanuel Sanders

3 of 3

Hines Ward is banged up and the Steelers are going up against the Patriots this week, who have the worst pass defense in the league.

That's big news for Antonio Brown owners, and if by some miracle he's on your waiver wire, pick him up immediately. If not, Emmanuel Sanders is a great consolation prize. He hauled in five catches and found the end zone last week.

With the battered receiving corp, Mike Wallace drawing most of the attention from the defense and the soft coverage he's going to face, Sanders is going to match his production from last week at the very least.
