The UFC 137 fight card has a solid lineup filled with great fights throughout the night. The main card features two heavyweight fights, one featherweight fight and one bantamweight fight.

The Spike TV fight card features two lightweight fights which should be really exciting. Here are the top three most anticipated fights at UFC 137.

No.3: Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic vs. Roy Nelson

The Mirko Cro Cop versus Roy Nelson should be a slug fest. Nelson is known for throwing wild punches and trying take down opponents using his fists. Mirko is a better all-around fighter than Nelson and can use his grapple skills to take this fight to the ground.

This match is expected to be a quick one whether its by knockout or submission. UFC fans will not be disappointed with this heavyweight match.

No. 2: Cheick Kongo vs. Matt Mitrione

The veteran Cheick Kongo takes on young UFC fighter Matt Mitrione in this heavyweight fight. Kongo has the experience, power and quickness to hurt his opponents. Mitrione comes into this fight with an impressive 5-0 record.

This fight is going to be big for Mitrione. If he can get a victory over a veteran fight like Kongo, this could really boost his standing in the UFC and might get him a shot for the heavyweight title in the future.

No. 1: BJ Penn Vs.Nick Diaz

The main event of the night pits two veterans up against each other in the welterweight division. BJ Penn takes on Nick Diaz in what should be a strategic fight by both fighters. BJ Penn enters this fight with a 16-7-2 record and a 60% strike defense.

Diaz, on the other hand, enters with a 26-7-1 record with a 51% strike landed percentage.

This fight is going to be great because of the strategic battle between the two fighters. Penn will be more patient and wait for his time to strike. Diaz will be more aggressive and try to knock Penn down.

The fans will not be disappointed with this main event match or the undercard.
