Fantasy Football Week 7: Eric Decker, James Jones and More Stud WR Starts

Andrew KulhaOct 22, 2011

Week 7 of the NFL season is where fantasy football championships are won or lost, so you better make sure you have the right players on your squad.

Sure, you can use the excuse that there is plenty of season left, but any fantasy owner worth their salt is making moves, never staying complacent, and already thinking ahead towards the playoffs.

Simply put, what has happened so far in the NFL will not continue to trend.

The NFL is an ever-changing league, and except for the few constant super stars like Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady, players are going to startย fluctuating in production.

What you need to do is litter your bench with consistent backups that you know you can use in a pinch.

In fact, litter your starting lineup with consistent players you know you can trust.

If there is one position that experiences the most fluctuation it's wide receiver.

Here are some incredibly studly starts at wide receiver this week and moving forward:

Eric Decker

Decker has been a great flex option for most fantasy teams, but with Brandon Llloyd now off the team I expect his production and importance for the Broncos is just going to increase. He seems to have a knack for scoring touchdowns with four on the year so far. I expect him to grab at least one more against a horrible Miami defense.

James Jones

The best part about Jones is the fact that on most teams he would at least be the second option. On the Packers he is the third or fourth, but Aaron Rodgers loves looking for him in big moments. Since he's so good on such a deep depth chart, he is normally matched up against the worst cover players on the field.

Brandon Lloyd

I believe that Lloyd is going to thrive in St. Louis. Sam Bradford is hurt this week, but I still expect Lloyd to be the No. 1 option. Moving forward he is going to be a great start every week.

Dez Bryant has the fortune of going up against theย win-lessย Rams and their secondary. I'm not confident in Tony Romo to win this game, but I am confident he'll find a wide open Bryant at least once or twice.
