Come January 1, 2009, every football team in the world will be able to dabble in the transfer market.
For many of the lower sides, it will be about wheeling and dealing and bringing in players that will help keep them in their respected leagues. For the top sides, it will be about bringing in players that will strengthen a title push and adding depth to their teams.
Due to injury and an apparent lack of consistency, one team has been highlighted as a bigger spender over the January period and that team is Arsenal.
With major injuries to Thomas Rosicky, Eduardo and England youngster Theo Walcott, Arsene Wenger mentioned that he would need to spend in the window.
As he said this, the speculation began and many pounded as to whom Wenger would target and whom he would want to open the wallet for.
