Ajack & Montero Make the Top 50 Prospects in MLB
Austin Jackson made the list and he is ranked 27th overall. Jesus Montero was ranked 40th on the list. These two guys are pretty much the top two prospects in the farm system, so I doubt any other Yankees will make the list ahead of them.
Austin Jackson Scouting Report:

Scouting report: He is an athletic outfielder, who used to be basketball standout, and is still refining game. He’s working on a more consistent approach at the plate, but needs to cut down on strikeouts a bit. There’s potential to have decent power at some point down the line. He has speed with some ability to steal a few bases and is good defensively in center with above-average range and a good arm.
Jesus Montero Scouting Report:
| 2008 Season | ||||||||||||||||||
| Team | League | AVG | G | AB | R | H | 2B | 3B | HR | RBI | TB | BB | SO | SB | CS | OBP | SLG | OPS |
| CHA | SAL | .326 | 132 | 525 | 86 | 171 | 34 | 1 | 17 | 87 | 258 | 37 | 83 | 2 | 1 | .376 | .491 | .868 |
Scouting report:A big teen aged backstop who has big-time offensive skills, he should hit for average and power. His defensive skills have improved but lag behind the bat. Specifically, he’s worked on the lower-half flexibility needed to be a quality receiver.
