UFC 136 Results: 5 Reasons Chael Sonnen Will Lose to Anderson Silva Again

0 of 5

On Saturday night, Chael Sonnen made two things clear.

He doesn't like Anderson Silva, and this time, he's playing for keeps.

After defeating Brian Stann via second-round submission, Sonnen had one of the biggest post-fight interviews in UFC history, when he laid down a challenge to Anderson Silva, saying, "Anderson Silva, you absolutely suck. I'm calling you out Silva, but we're upping the stakes. I beat you, you leave the division. You beat me, I'll leave the UFC forever."

That is a huge challenge, and here's five reasons why we won't be seeing Chael Sonnen in the UFC for much longer.

Anderson Was Hurt the First Fight

The first time these two met, Anderson Silva had a rib injury that kept him out for an extended time after the fight.

Rib injuries can be some of the worst to fight with, and they can be very painful.

The fact that Anderson was injured and was still able to get the win goes to show how tough he is.

He Can Do It

Because he's already done it once before.

Silva came back from the brink of defeat, and pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in UFC and MMA history.

He did it once, while injured; he can certainly do it again.

Anderson Silva Is Mad

A mad Anderson Silva is a deadly Anderson Silva.

Dana White has said that he doesn't know if Sonnen really hates Silva as much as he says, but Silva certainly hates him.

Saturday night, in an interview with Ariel Helwani, Dana White said, "He [Silva] was pissed and he's really upset about the whole smacking his wife on the butt thing and cook him dinner. He's really upset about it. He's really pissed about it."

Silva is going to want revenge.

Anderson's Legacy is on the Line

If Silva loses to Sonnen, then Silva's legacy is immediately shattered.

Silva is undefeated in the UFC, with 14 wins and zero losses.

If Silva loses to Sonnen, everyone will know that Sonnen just got caught in the first fight, and that he really is better than Anderson Silva.

Silva knows what's at stake in this fight: not only his legacy, but his middleweight career.

Chael Sonnen Will Leave the UFC

    Silva does not like Sonnen.

    Silva probably hates Sonnen.

Wouldn't he love to get rid of him and be done with him forever?

That's going to be a huge motivating factor for Silva and will push him to brutally defeat Chael Sonnen.
