This is a very tricky fight prediction for me.

Besides having a great last name (smile), "Bad" Chad will have some very critical ring advantages over Bernard "the Executioner" Hopkins when they meet in less than two weeks.

Although "B-Hop" counters with superior experience in big fights, a tighter defense and an overall better boxing I.Q., Dawson brings "three kings" to this chess match.

Chad Dawson Has Faster Hands

Yes, speed kills. And Dawson has a clear advantage here. His speed will not literally kill Hopkins, but it will definitely keep the grizzled Hopkins on the defensive, and will allow Dawson to simply out-work his slower opponent.

Dawson clearly has the faster feet. He would be wise not to get "happy feet," which could give the appearance that he's running from "the Executioner." But he will be wise to use them to dart in-and-out, and make "B-Hop" use his older legs, which have far too much mileage on them to successfully cut off the ring.

Chad Dawson Has Youth on His Side

It is often said that youth is wasted on the young. In the case of Dawson vs Hopkins, that will not be true. Dawson will be the embodiment of the younger, but more importantly, more active fighter next Saturday. And this activity will be rewarded on the scorecards (yes, I expect this fight to go the distance).

And the Winner Is...

Speed and youth will be served on Saturday, October 15 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. And there will be nothing that Bernard Hopkins can do to prevent the inevitable: Chad Dawson regaining the Ring light heavyweight title that he lost to Jean Pascal a little over a year ago.
