WWE Breaking News: Austin Comments on Alberto Del Rio and John Cena

Stone Cold Steve Austin has never been afraid to state his opinion on anything. If someone was to ask him anything he would give them his whole and truthful opinion.

This time around he was asked about Alberto Del Rio and to that he had this to say about him:

"

“Well I don’t think Del Rio is ready to carry that belt. It’s OK for a short period of time, give him his first mini title run and try to groom him. He’s still got another year or two to go before he learns the US system.

“He’s a good looking kid and I know he’s been around Mexico and MMA.”

Austin is echoing what many have thought about Alberto Del Rio for some time now—that he should not be champion again just yet. He has shown much improvement in the ring and does have a great set of moves to dish out to his opponents.

Alberto Del Rio still suffers on the mic however, and that is something WWE is always trying to improve upon.

When it came to John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin had a lot to say about him. He began by saying the following: 

"

“When I look at that company right now, John Cena is the guy who anchors it all. Some people get mad because they feel like WWE shove it down your throat, but he’s the main guy! Whether you love to hate him or you love to love him—you gotta respect him.

"

While I agree with his point that he is the main guy he is not the only main guy out there. There is Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, Triple H, Randy Orton and even Mark Henry.

Austin goes on to say that John Cena is a work horse and that he has done it all and never has seen him without a smile on his face. John Cena never complains, has great matches with great guys and he still has some years as the top guy in the company left in him.

"I call a spade a spade and John has done a tremendous job and he’s got a few years left yet. He’ll keep riding that lightning bolt.”

While everything Austin said is true I will say one thing and that is while John Cena does have years left as being the top guy, I can only hope in that time he chooses to be at least a little bit different than who he is now.

People out there see him as mundane and boring with who he is now and most agree that if he just changed his character up a little bit people would like him more. The greats such as Austin, The Rock, Undertaker, Shawn Micheals, Triple H, Chris Jericho and Bret Hart all at some point had to change up their character to stay relevant. 

If John Cena did the same the number of people who do not like him would start diminishing.
