WWE: Stone Cold Steve Austin and CM Punk Would Make WrestleMania Great Again
With one pair of legends going at it during WWE’s WrestleMania 28, there is news breaking that John Cena and The Rock might not be the only meeting of past and present stars.
There have been rumors floating around for months that WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin would be returning to the ring for a final match at WrestleMania 28, and that the Texas Rattlesnake's opponent would be none other than the voice of the voiceless, CM Punk.
While many wrestling experts scoffed at the idea, the two have been battling on twitter for months, and now Steve Austin has gone on record saying that he wants the match with Punk.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Stone Cold Steve Austin told the UK Sun about his ideal opponent for one final dream match:
"I'd say he looks up to me for what I did in the ring back in the day—and I look up to him for what he is doing now. I'd say it's a case of mutual respect. I hear the stories and if the stars aligned and all things worked out to benefit us all—the WWE, myself and Punk—I'd say that he is the guy I'd pick to face. I'm sure I could get another match out of this carcass of mine.
"
Punk is at the highest point he has ever been in his career, and a match on the biggest stage in the sport, against arguably one of the most popular wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of boots, would catapult him into a legendary status.
Austin still has the power to bring the crowd to their feet and the revenue into the WWE hierarchy's pocket. All of the fans who are old enough to remember the great shoot promos and vignettes will see the resemblance between Punk and Austin in his prime.
With the meeting of two of the biggest troublemakers in company history, the talk between the men leading up to the event would be epic, and the bill featuring Cena against The Rock, and Austin against Punk would draw in even the non-WWE fans.
This match is still very far-fetched, but it appears that the ground work has already been laid and WrestleMania XXVIII may have just gotten very, very exciting.
