UFC 135 Predictions: Why 'Rampage' Jackson Stands No Chance vs. Jon Jones

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson doesn't stand a chance in the Octagon with light heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones.

Jackson was once the light heavyweight champion, but after a decade of fighting, he is certainly past his prime and can't compete with Jones, who is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC.

Jackson is known as a big hitter. He has a strong punch and can level you at any point. The only problem for him is that he is going against a much faster, younger opponent that just happens to have a longer reach.

Jones is dominant in nearly every facet you can think of at this point in his career.

He has yet to be challenged, mainly because he is so much better than the other fighters.

Jackson failed to knock out Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill recently, both of whom have been destroyed since then. He also lost to both Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans—and didn't exactly impress anyone in those bouts.

He simply has lost a step and doesn't have the explosive power that he once had.

He was a great fighter and should be respected as a great fighter, but the simple fact is that he stands no chance of taking out Jones.

This isn't saying that Jones is unbeatable—he isn't—but Jackson isn't the boxer to do it. He just hasn't proven over the past few years that he has it in him.

Jones will win, and he should win in convincing fashion.
